100,000 won from the dude who has the tons of expensive vintage analog stuff on the 2nd floor.
He's the DSI dealer, too.

I got a Korg monotron and change.
I got the money I put into the mc-505 back in learning synthesis.
If you don't have one yet, get a Monotron.

Ouch! You mean the 3rd floor, right? Next time I'm there I'll pop in and see how much he wants for it.

I heard the ribbon on the monotron sux. Can you actually play anything on it?

I mean, if you count the street running under it the store's on the 3rd, I guess.

Tuning's rough. The manual says to give it 15 minutes (!) to stabilize and expect temperature and humidity to change things. I haven't gotten the hang of it yet.

The filter is filthy and squeals like mad if the resonance is anywhere past 10 o'clock with any input at all.
All hype thus far is utterly true.
I'm having the most fun tweaking the LFO controlling the cutoff on external sounds. Gives you anywhere from a light warble to almost fm-ey sounds with Throbbing Gristle in the middle.
