I left my electric stove top burner on almost all weekend. I must have knocked it to high by accident on my way out the door at noon on Saturday. I didn't return home until Monday morning.

Its actually still working despite being on almost constantly all weekend.

Am I facing a huge electric bill this month?

I barely use it so any help on the power costs of these things is appreciated.

Read the tag on the range, it should tell you the wattage. If you left it on high, it's probably going to be the top range, so just do the math. If it's a single burner, it's probably 1000 watts, maybe 1500 watts, so 24-36 kwatts per day. Considering that you probably only use the burner 1 hour per day (on average) IF you cook EVERY meal at home, you can see that you've used anywhere from 1-3 months worth of electricity for your stove in a single weekend, depending on the exact wattage and time.

I wouldn't worry too much, the electric rates are lower in the winter, so you'll probably be hit with a higher bill, yes, but it still shouldn't be huge.
