Hi! I'm considering taking the LSAT in Seoul in Feb but I'm a little worried about testing conditions. I took it at home and am just looking to imporve my score, but if the conditions arent good I'm nervous my score could drop. Does anyone have experience taking it here? Are they as strict at home?

Personally I cant stand listening to people chew gum, I find it really distracting and in the US you cant have gum during the LSAT. Did anyone notice if it was/wasn't allowed in Seoul? Also, since its going to be Feb and freezing should I expect to have heat in the room or freeze like I do in school?

Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

Since it's a western test and proctored by LSAC, I can't imagine that for some reason they'd allow gum here and not there. Were I you, I'd be more worried about the classroom being freezing cold where you take it instead of gum. We all know the schools are freezing.

The same test rules apply in Korea. Point out to them the relevant portion of the rules if the proctor doesn't act:

"Food and drink. Food and drink of any kind may not be taken out of your ziplock bag in the test room. Food and drink may be taken only during the break."

Always go in expecting the worst in terms of temperature. Therefore, dress comfortably and in layers.

Expect to freeze if you take the LSAT here in February. The proctoring is pretty by-the-book, so you won't have to worry too much about people chewing gum, I'd imagine, though the proctors do seem to be a little more lenient when it comes to warning people about more serious infractions instead of kicking them out or writing them up.

Just so you know, I'm pretty sure that the LSAT, for some unknown reason, isn't offered in February in Korea. June is the next test. You can pay major money and get your own private test, but it's not officially offered in February. Bummer for me too.

actually, I was just checking when it is offered about a week ago and am pretty sure that it is offered in February, I guess I could be wrong about that though.

I just made another thread about trying to find a test prep class in Seoul--do you guys have any information or ideas on this?

I glanced at the official foreign test schedule next year somewhere online and read that it was offered in Seoul in February at the two usual locations.

I just checked the LSAC website - here http://www.lsac.org/JD/pdfs/TestCenterCodesOutsideUSCaribbeanCanada.pdf - and unless I'm being stupid (which is not out of the question) I don't see February listed in Korea.

But then I tried to register and it's being offered at Yonsei. So there ya go. See you in February.

And sorry, I don't know anything about test prep here. My oldest and best friend got a 177 and spent last year teaching test prep classes, so I've just been making her give me advice!

I checked the LSAC pdf for Asia again and found the following:

Korea
D 0703 Seoul, Duksung Women's University-Chong Campus
J O 0715 Seoul, Yonsei University

So it looks like it isn't offered in Seoul for February, but it may not have been listed as a disclosed site at the time the pdf was made.
