I've used it with Mac OS X and it's worked like a charm, especially its conversion software.

Yeah...I use the Windows version with my Kindle 3....works a treat. Extremely useful if you're getting your books via torrent, or want an easy way to sort through and regularly update newspapers and magazines.

For the OP...the wifi is fine for adding books and magazines and things....but I don't use the Kindle for going online or any of that.
