| Does anyone know of a Hanja dictionary app? Something where you could scratch in some hanja on the screen and it recognizes it for you? |

^ I'd also be interested in that.
Also... am I right in thinking there's no Korean train timetable app for Android? I don't mean the subway but regular trains, like "iKorail" for the iPhone. |

| A heads up for anyone who, like me, has been waiting for this app to drop - the official Korail app is now available on Android (and the iPhone). It's only in Korean but allows you to check train times and also book tickets. There's a QR Code link to download it on the Korail homepage at the moment (http://www.korail.com) |

"Green Life Of Railway Yearning" should win the prize for most ridiculously named app ever. Quite useful though. |

You're not implying there might be a more suitable name, surely?! |

Sound manager is an incredibly useful app. It changes the sound states of your phone at certain times. I have mine set to be silent a few minutes before class starts, and have the volume go up at the end of the school day. I never need to remember to turn my ringer on/off!
Another nice bonus about it is that it allows for vibrate to happen even when silenced (although you can turn it off if you want). |

I've used this to install apps that are available in Korea, but can't get it to install anything unavailable. Google Earth, for example. I can search it in Appbrain (whereas it doesn't show up at all in the default Android Market), but Install doesn't activate (the Install icon spins for a second and then does nothing).
Any ideas? |

Apparently some people are having luck with snappzmarket since applanet no longer works and the appbrain work-around seems to no longer work? Anyone tried snappz?
Also- for those who have rooted their phones: how have you found the experience? Any issues after rooting? I'm seriously considering it.
I really can't believe that apps like Google Earth are unavailable to me on a Google-based OS just because I live in Korea, whereas I can download and use it just fine on my Apple iPod. |
