So, I caught a flu like illness a few days ago. I hoped up and went to a clinic yesterday and answered all her questions. She just kept on typing everything I said, printed out a prescription and then that was it.
I get the meds, and as everyone knows - they give you packets of pills. I took em last night, and felt a but cloudy.... Actually I'm still cloudy now....
To the point! How do you identify what pills do what for you?
I'm not into treating the symptoms, just the cause. |

Look at the prescription and google them. It will also come up with the English name for the drug, which you can then google again. |

Type in the hangul into the search bar at this site.
http://www.druginfo.co.kr/index.aspx
The English names pop up and you can google the medication from there. |

haha i like how you say you dont like treating symptoms and then pop pills when pills are for treating symptoms.
wake up prescription meds are bad for you and even worse when some drug dealing korean gp talks to you for 5 secs and then sells you the flavour of the month.
dont take pills for common things. Get rest drink water and it will pass. |

yeah, i was in a pretty bad state after breaking 3 fevers over 3 days. I really didn't know how the medical industry worked in Korea.
I basically was down for some penicillin, I had no idea each pill treated each symptom. All i really needed was an antibiotic.
Plus, needed to see the doctor for the days off from sickness. |

sorry to hear OP is sick
yes, lots of people slef-prescribe antibiotics when they get a cold.
OP. If it is a commom cold (usually caused by viruses) , the bad news is no matter which country you go, you probably wont be able to find a cure. Antibiotics should be used only when you are diagnosed with a bacterial infection.
It has nothing to do with the pharmaceutical companies here at this point.
But good rest and good food is always helpful when you get a cold. |
