All my life I've never understood people who like carrots? How can they just sit down and eat them? How can they look so content to have a little orange veggie in their mouth?

I mean I love steak, but I'll never understand why people are so in to carrots.

Well it looks like you've got yourself a dilemma.

Here here. Especially raw carrots - yikes.
Carrots, cucumbers, and eggplants were my worst enemies growing up.
Now I've made peace with carrots as far as they're cooked or become a small portion inside something. Sweet pickled cucumbers have grown on me, with pizza or in a hamburger. Can't say the same for eggplants, still hate them in any form.

Now I pledge my allegiance to thick juicy beefsteak, once again.

Love raw vegetables. Dislike steamed ones due to texture.

What does one have to do with the other?

Anyway, I actually prefer the taste of raw carrots over cooked, which may come from watching Bugs Bunny when I was a kid(not joking).

Come on. Carrots? What did they ever do to anyone? I agree that eggplant is less than nice, though.
If anything, we should be trying to wipe celery off the face of the earth. I don't trust any "food" that supplies fewer calories than it requires to digest.

I hear they scream when being pulled from the ground.

Eggplant less than nice?? If you had ever tried some of the Eggplant Parmesan that I have, you might change your tune.

And maybe you guys don't like celery and carrots by themselves, but they add essential flavor to things like chicken soup!

Raw, grated carrot with pepper and roasted pine nuts is good.

Most people just boil the life out of them though.

Love them raw, not such a fan of them cooked. The texture is a bit off-putting.

Personally I love both carrots and steak.

Still dislike sports, though.

As well you should.

The only time carrots are tolerable is when they are thinly sliced and then grated and then sliced again, only to be grated once more (raw of course, rourse) and mixed with chopped onions, doused in Maggi's seasoning sauce, good brown vinegar (a liberal amount), lemon juice and some black pepper. Salt can be added too, as can dandruff if one leans over the chopping board whilst reaching for the syringe. Some might even add raisins, but some have bad taste in rotten grapes; they are best used in wine.

In other words, a carrot salad is okay. But ribs are better. Factual fact right there.

I like carrots, but I'm not fond of peas. If someone else is cooking, I will eat them, but you won't find them in my pantry.
