So Mr. Kim, what's the name of that sea between Korea and Japan again?

But it's also known as something else. Why don't you calm down and think about it some more?

Where did you find those billboards? In California?

Does "We slept on it" mean "We took some time to think about it" or "We slept on Dokdo?"

Have you ever been to that spa and met the owner? Could be an interesting experience. The guy must have money to burn. If I met the guy, I would subtly try to convince him that most Americans are totally unaware of Korea's printing press and that they firmly believe taekwondo is a derivative of karate. Then I'd keep my eyes peeled for new billboards.

Some funny reviews of the spa. Who knew ladies didn't really like it when their masseuse wears lacy lingerie for a body scrub?

I think its hilarious that Koreans actually think people outside of Korea or ethnic Koreans really give a hoot what the Sea of Japan is called or Dokdo. It will always be the Sea of Japan. Why don't they get on China's case of the Yellow Sea/West Sea? Why would the US (or anyone else for that matter) give a crap about it? That being said, the font is very nice.

Someone needs to show them a world map and how little Dokdo matters.

These kinds of campaigns do more to hurt the image of Koreans abroad than anything.

South Korea is a relatively stable, wealthy, priviliged nation where everyone has plenty to eat and a lot of people have an extremely high standard of living. It is the home to several successful global corporations. And we're supposed to feel sorry for them because of a few dumb words on a map, describing some areas that no one in the west has probably even paid much attention to???

Someone should tell the people responsible for these billboards that there are genocides... genuine cases of extreme suffering in the world... and those things don't get their own billboards.

This is actually really shameful... they're embarrassing Korea by doing this.

I would respectfully submit that they are only embarrassing themselves. If an English teacher from either America or Canada behaves badly in another country...should either country feel embarrassed? Would they even know about it or care?

On Wednesday, I did see a "Dokdo is ours" (in Korean) Christmas Card at Bandi and Lundi's.

I'm sure it's just the kind of card my parents would love to receive from me.

I live in Toronto now and my wife and I do a heck of a lot of shopping at IKEA.

There are world maps all over the store.

Someone went to a bunch of the maps, crossed out "Sea of Japan" and wrote in "East Sea" .... actually, they may have written "Sea of Korea". Can't remember for sure.

What a pitiful person.

They should have been arrested, blackmailed, fined, cheated, laughed at, and deported.
