I've updated my blog for winter camps with a link to The Snowman by Raymond Briggs (the short film...not the book). My students love this film, and we watch it each year. It can be used to build a day or two of camp around, or even just a few minutes a day...it's up to you!

Yeah...I had forgotten about too until someone suggested it for camp a couple of years ago. I finally got around to putting on youtube this week...saves having to find the file (and worrying about my classroom pc crashing again).

Spotters badge for anyone who remembered that Bowie was on at the start of the film! I had no idea!

I just blogged about it http://ddeubel.edublogs.org - spent a beautiful snowy evening out. The local symphony orchestra played the score while the video played. Lovely.

I've had it up on EFL Classroom every year. Download a high quality version there too (don't dare watch the crappy youtube converted version - ruins this beautiful film). Also, worksheets/ppts for retelling. In our Christmas resources.
