Has anyone stayed at Roy's Rendezvous in the Philippines? We are thinking of staying there next month and just wondered people's past experiences. We were going to stay in an air conditioned bungalow.
Also, curious about what people do with money and passports if there isnt a lock box in your room? |

Most places on Boracay (all the older places) have a lock box or safe at the front desk for use by the guests.
Some of them have little lockers for your valuables but you need to supply your own padlock.

Roy's isn't the only cheap place to stay in Boracay. Others include Dave's Straw Hat Inn (I stayed there one night and left but others say they had a good stay), Moreno's Place (I stayed there for six nights in September and it was okay for just 800 pesos a night), and others. |

Yeah, I wouldn't book an entire stay at one place on Boracay, as there will always be vacancies somewhere and you may find greener pastures for lesser prices once you're there. |

It might be worth paying a bit more and getting breakfast included.
The general rule is that the further you are from the beach and crowded area, the cheaper it gets.
There are many small things you can do to save a little coin. Make sure you are prepared and don't need to buy things like sunscreen there. They overcharge. Buy a huge bottle of water and fill up small bottles when you go out, etc.

The breakfast served at many places in Boracay hardly qualifies as food. I'd just get a cheap and nice place and worry about breakfast elsewhere. |
