Hey guys, just wondering if there's a standard 'to do' list for those leaving Korea, even if its just temporarily for several months.
I figure this will be pretty helpful for most people and I couldn't find any previous posts.

1. Transfer money
- the most important thing to do obviously. Does anyone know if its possible to keep your bank account active even if you turn in your ARC card?

2. Cancel apartment lease and cable/phone subscriptions

3. Throw out / donate / sell belongings
- is there a good way to do this? especially donate used clothes, etc.

I can't think of any more things.. is there anything I'm missing?

Thanks.

Get a visa extension if your alien card is short a few days of when you need to fly. Buy air ticket and go to a pension office if you can get the refund.

I can confirm your account stays open after you leave. Mine stayed open for 14 months with 1,500 won in it. you probably have to leave a small amount in.

get written and signed recommendations/referrals from the principle or vice-principle on paper with the school logo on it. Lots of luck getting it after you leave the school.
