I'm in Gumi and haven't seen the place. Be aware that there is next to nothing to do in Gumi. Even if your needs for social/cultural stimulation and consumer goods are minimal, you will find yourself having to head out of the city a lot. Yeah, Daegu is 30 minutes by train, which doesn't seem bad until you factor in the walk/bus/taxi ride to the Gumi train station, then the wait at the train station for your train, then the ride, then gettting from the Daegu train station to wherever you wanted to go in the first place...and then the whole business in reverse. I didn't think it would be a big deal, but it is, and now I feel stuck in dumb ol' Gumi. |
