Only three up there I liked. Top Chef was dumb and a rip off. Hell's Kitchen was far better, I liked the Apprentice before they started using celebrities and Project Runway was tolerable but the rest--forget them.

In my book 'The Restaurant' with Raymond Blanc was the best of the foodie ones. Though Ramsey throwing up after eating those scallops in Kitchen Nightmares was pretty good tv. Wasn't there a programme about dwarves trying to get married on US TV once? That looked great.

I liked The Farm. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Farm_(TV_series)

You can learn a bit about farming, history and how to make stuff. And the show shows a lot of beautiful nature too.

Jersey Shore is terrible! I had a friend who was obsessed so I checked it out but wasn't impressed at all. Boring.

My reality show watching days were entirely between 2002 and 2005.

The original Paradise Hotel in 2003 was great with that Keith guy coming on and upsetting the place, getting in a fourway clique and riding it all the way.

I only watched one early Survivor from start to finish, the one where that salesman won it all, Brian in Thailand, I believe in 2002. I liked the scoundrel enough to want him to go far, compared to some very annoying others.

I have enjoyed episodes of The Amazing Race but haven't seen a series from start to finish, and thought it would be nice to buy a DVD set of a season. If I can get my hands on one without knowing the winners beforehand I'd probably snap it up.

The last reality show I saw before I stopped watching tv in 2005 was The Cut, about fashion designer wannabes and the guy I wanted to win, did, Chris, though I thought two others had more talent overall.

The only tv show I really miss (other than documentaries) in the last 5 years of nonwatching is a reality show: Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. What a great idea for a show. It appealed on many levels.

I have no clue what five of the poll options are on this thread, so I voted for the amazing race, which I liked, as much/little as I saw of it.

I tried searching on my torrent site but couldn't find it. Anyone out there in the know?

The Amazing Race is phenomenal is all I can say. I can only imagine how complex it is to write and set up this show, but they do top notch production. Season 18 to start in February 2011 is going to have past teams such as the cowboys finishing a little unfinished business. I sure hope this big show changer doesn't mean it's the last season, but may not be, because they always do something different each season. I'd love to get on that show, but just can't think who'd be the team mate to apply with would be.

That show about the lead singer from Poison. I usually consider such things to be beneath my incredibly high standards for TV and life (I live life to the MAX), but the dodginess of it just kept me coming back for more.

Not sure whether it would classify as a reality show but I really like "The Colony" from the Discovery channel. It's basicaly a cross section of society mostly Engineers and doctors who are ment to survive a simulated viral outbreak in a post Apocalyptic setting.
