I've made my list. What's yours? Any other ones that I need to check out?

Jirisan has the best trails and best scenery IMHO.

Wolchulsan has great views.

Naejangsan has a good loop which can be done in a day, great in autumn.

Songnisan is very nice and has an awesome minbak in the forest with a nice friendly ajumma working there.

Soraksan is very nice.

Woraksan is great, but must be done early before the massive crowds arrive.

Gajisan is pretty cool.

Duryansan in Jeollnamdo has awesome views of the islands.

Odaesan has a very nice valley but didn't think too much of the mountain views

Namhae island has a mountain with a temple called Boriam on the top, I forgot the mountain's name, but it has a great view.

I think many of the mountains are very similar, most can be done in less than a day or even half a day if you're strong. Jirisan has the best overnight options and a myriad of trails but I'll be buggered if I'm sleeping in a hut full of Koreans again.

Thanks for your reply...I haven't been to a few of yours, and I'll have to check them out.

Sleeping in the shelter is terrible UNLESS you can go during a weekday, that's not Chuseok. Then, it's not bad because it's way less crowded.
