My school and I are both chipping in for the key money on my apartment. I need to give them 3.1 million won from my US account but don't want to resort to an ATM if I can help it. Is it possible to go to a KEB and get a supyo (Korean check/money order) from a US account with a check card?

I suppose that even if I can't get the check issued a bank would be a better place to do it... at least there'll be a single fee as opposed to multiple fees from the withdrawal caps.
