Ain't no shame in seeing the doc, you know. What does wikipedia say about your symptoms? |

my mother-in-law had TB. She was in rough shape for a while, but a serious program of drugs and she's fine now. Took almost 6 months for her to get back to 90% though. |

Get checked up. I had those symptoms and turned out I had lymphoma. I, like you, thought I had TB.
I don't mean to freak you out and I seriously doubt you have cancer, just saying you better see a doc since one never knows what life will bring. |

Nope

BCG, or bacille Calmette-Gurin, is a vaccine for TB disease. This vaccine is not widely used in the United States, but it is often given to infants and small children in other countries where TB is common. BCG vaccine does not always protect people from getting TB. |

When I had TB I had the night sweats and coughing real bad. I was smoking a lot then, so I wasn't sure if that was it. But I never coughed up any blood, just some nasty phlegm(sp?). But the worse part was the loss of energy/lethargy.
Mine took 24 months to cure completely (many different drugs), including hospitalization. Lost 80 pounds in the process. Hope it works out for you........... |

Find a good doctor and ascertain if you've been exposed to TB or infected. If so, then maybe a course of prophylaxes is likely. |

Could be any number of things. If you're getting worried, surely it's time to see a doctor? |

Lupus.
Quick, a differential. Give me three possibilities and have me shoot them down while having you test for all three. |

I was diagnosed as having TB but it turned out to be Sarcoidosis.
Now, you don't even know if you have TB, you just have a cough. If it is a light cough, it might not be a problem. But, if it is a serious cough, nine days is getting on the long side and all the people here who say, why don't you just see a doctor, are probably right.
Here is a little more advice. Go see a local doctor. If you don't get better tell him you need to go to a larger hospital or to see a specialist. They will give you some form that you can take to the large hospital and you will only have to pay local clinic fees - no kidding. But, the local doctor has to agree that he cannot cure you. |

Nightsweats = fever. Fever = see a doctor. If it's bacterial, they can actually help you!
My husband was similar and it turned out he had bronchitis which was developing into pneumonia. I don't know what they gave him, but it eased his symptoms and after a day the fever stopped and after another week he wasn't hacking up crap anymore. |
