Am I being overly hopeful or does anyone know if I can find one of these around Seoul? I don't live too close to a Homeplus or Emart so I can't just pop in to check. I'm specifically looking for the kind that you can make yourself so I can make it with my girlfriend.
Any ideas?
Thanks. |

if you have a small oven/grill, it shouldnt be too difficult to make gingerbread.
You can buy all the ingredients in korea. |

Unfortunately I live in an Asian sized shoe box and don't even have a gas-range let alone a stove so cooking anything like that is out of the question.ㅠㅠ
Thanks for the tip though^^ |

There's a french bakery downstairs at my Shinsegae (in Incheon, but probably at the Seoul ones). I saw them, though didn't inquire as to the prices. |

Cheers, thanks for the help^^ I guess I'll go searching around some bakeries and try to get out to Shinsegae if I can.
Merry Christmas! |

I've heard of making Christmas houses out of wafer cookies and cream cheese frosting. Never tried it myself though. |

I've never made a gingerbread house but always wanted to.. There is a German bakery in the Itaewon are, closer to Hangangjin Station called Wein. Maybe they have them. Or, you could go online to some site like Ebay, Amazon, etc and buy a kit. |

You don't need to cook the dough to make gingerbread. I've seen recipes for making it out of bread. You break up the bread and mix it with a liquid containing the other ingredients. While it's still hot, it's like dough. When it cools off and dries out, it tastes very much like regular gingerbread. I haven't done it for years, but it's very easy. I've done it with kids before. I'm sure you can find the instructions online. |

I havent seen any you can make yourself. However, I have seen several very pretty ones for sale in the department stores (shinsagae, hyundai)
There's also a bakery chain (I think its called Goom Teo, possibly with Bang in there) selling them. Theres a branch next to homeplus at nonhyeon station on line 7. |
