You compared the TSA groping and searches to breathalyzers for drivers. Do you realize that drivers do not have to take the breathalyzer tests if they choose not to?

Off topic but Don't know about the states but if you refuse the breathalysers in NZ you have to give a bloodtest

If you refuse in the States it's generally considered an admission of guilt.

As for the pat down, I'm going to moan and gasp with pleasure loudly and embarrass the F out of them.

That's the idea! Just be careful you don't get charged with sexual assault, though:

As for little kids? It's horrible to submit them to scans (danger factor again), but pat downs could be made far gentler, with mommy or daddy holding their hands, and going through the same thing at the same time to show solidarity. They should make videos to explain to the little ones what and why they do it. Puppets, toys, and all that stuff should be available to make it easier. This is a tricky situation, and the TSA really does need to work on making it non-traumatizing.

Great way to condition them to be future sheeple instead of resistors. Rolling Eyes

I was just emailed that article:

http://www.deadseriousnews.com/?p=573

Quote:
A 47 year old gay man was arrested at San Francisco International Airport after ejaculating while being patted down by a male TSA agent. Percy Cummings, an interior designer from San Francisco, is being held without bail after the alleged incident, charged with sexually assaulting a Federal agent.

According to Cummings partner, Sergio Armani, Cummings has multiple piercings on his manhood which were detected during a full body scan. As a result, Cummings was pulled aside for a pat-down. Armani stated that the unidentified TSA agent spent an inordinate amount of time groping Cummings, who had apparently become sexually aroused. Cummings, who has a history of sexual dysfunction, ejaculated while the TSA agents hand was feeling the piercings.

The Onion is much funnier.

Yeah. It is a lose lose situation... Perhaps letting the kids cry is better, to be honest. Slows down the whole process and doesn't condition them. I was just thinking about the short term when I posted. You're probably right.

This six-year-old girl lost. (Kiddy porn courtesy of the US government.)

Six-Year-Old Girl Gets Invasive Groping By TSA [With Video]

Though TSA has cooled its jets a bit when it comes to the naked-scanner, but it's still going buckwild when it comes to patdowns (read AlterNet's piece on traveler's worst TSA horror stories here). This weekend, a video hit the internet that shows a TSA agent giving a completely invasive patdown to a tiny 6-year-old girl, once again prompting the question: are these people going too far? The patdown is uncomfortable to watch, as the TSA agent seems to go above and beyond the basic frisking you'd expect anyone to deem appropriate for a small child. It's not like she looks like she's carting a knife in her boot, or anything. Here's the video, via Raw Replay:

Airport passenger screener charged in distributing child pornography

April 23, 2011|By John Shiffman, Inquirer Staff Writer*

TSA officer Thomas Gordon Jr. is being held. (Image: Government Employees (AFGE)

A passenger screener at Philadelphia International Airport is facing charges that he distributed more than 100 images of child pornography via Facebook, records show.

Federal agents also allege that Transportation Safety Administration Officer Thomas Gordon Jr. of Philadelphia, who routinely searched airline passengers, uploaded explicit pictures of young girls to an Internet site on which he also posted a photograph of himself in his TSA uniform.

Homeland Security agents arrested the TSA officer March 24, and he is being held without bail.

Although the case was unsealed Thursday, neither the indictment nor the news release mentioned Gordon's job searching airline passengers for TSA.

What is it about pedophiles and having a distinctly 'pedo' appearance?

Good to see you are paying attention. Now, so what?

What happened to the six-year-old was wrong not because she has now been sexually traumatized for life, but because she suffered the same indignity and rights violation as any adult who also had to undergo that unconstitutional procedure (like the one in the OP).

I posted that latter article only because it was ironically relevant.

Now, you are on Facebook, right? Razz

I always thought it was one of those things we notice after its been suggested to us. What do you think makes for a distinctly - rather than vaguely - 'pedo' appearance?
