Here are my documents. My questions are basically:
Is my police check sufficient. It says RCMP, so is that at the right level?

This is my certification of degree that was notarized and apostiled by the korean consulate in Toronto.

Will I need to get any additional documents to renew my visa?
Thanks for any help you can offer.[/url] |
Both are adequate and meet the current requirements for a new or renewal of an E2 (assuming those are the ones on file).
Your CRC is outdated if you haven't presented it before.
You should cover your personal information and repost if you wish or just delete the files.
Other than that you will also need the usual information (7 documents) for a renewal:
new Contract
ARC
passport
letter of guarantor (sponsorship)
business registration of employer
application
30k won fee

Ah, great, thanks tt.
These documents were submitted early January 2010. They are definitely the ones on file. That being said, I should not have to present another more updated CRC correct?
Business registration/Contract will be available once i get a new job i assume.
The rest I have on hand.
Guarantor is usually your employer? |

Are you talking renewal (same employer) or new visa (new employer)?
IF new employer and NOT a transfer (change with LOR) then you will need a NEW CRC and degree copy (they have several of mine in my file and still asked for a new one when I changed jobs (new visa).

Hey ttompatz.
Ya I'm talking about a new employer. Once my contract ends I want to get a different job.
When I called the immigration hotline they were able to check my documents and tell me that they were okay and they did not have to be submitted again. You mentioned that with a new employer that new documents were necessary. Is there any way around this? Am I able to transfer at the end of my contract to the new employer? |

WITH a LOR and IF the contracts are concurrent you CAN transfer to a new employer without new documents (assuming the ones on file are adequate).
IF you need a new visa then you need new documents.

Do you know if there is a limit of visa transfers allowed for E2?
I'm at my second school now (2nd year), transfered the visa the first time from my old job no problem. I'm now looking to go to my third school with another LOR. Contract will be signed this Saturday.
I originally came with my degree notarized and apostilled, but only a local CBC (American). Looking to avoid the hassle of a FBI check.
Much appreciated! |
