The YBM dictionary is available for Android.

It doesn't auto-update. It would've asked her and she would've had to say yes.

iPhone 4 seems to have unlimited battery, much like the iPad. My 3Gs battery sucks, though.

Obviously. When using a jailbroken phone you have to wait things out and research before updating.

I found the Galaxy screen to be unusable due to a weird blue-green tint that I've seen on every one I've used. Plus iPhone 4 has much higher resolution screen, though I'd still take the 3Gs screen over the tinted Galaxy screen any day.

You can't roll back the OS unless you've saved your SHSH. Cydia prompts you to do this automatically.

The jailbreak problems only occur if there's a jailbreak, obviously. Though jailbreaking adds so much stuff I can't live without (custom SMS ringtones, unlock, video mirroring, etc.) that I consider it necessary. It's a bit of a pain to keep up on all the info, though.

I agree with this. I was prompted to update through my UI's iTunes(Korean of course).

Disagree with this. Although the battery may be much better than the previous versions of the iPhone, downloading stuff from installous and playing games definitely sucks the battery pretty dry pretty quickly. The option to get ur own extra battery is there though.

Yes, the OP's wife shouldn't have updated.

Having looked at two of my friends' Galaxy S's screens, can't say I see a huge difference, true. The hardware IS a bit better with the Galaxy, but as everyone else has already said on here and many other threads here and elsewhere, it's not a major dealbreaker either way. I used to scoff a bit at the applefanboys, but I now am more neutral. The iPhone is not spectacular, but it's not junk either. I'm happy being an owner of one. I am also happy using dTunes, rather than iTunes.

No arguments here.

p.s. I'm starting to think that the YBM dictionary isn't all that good, especially when buffet is pronounced like that rich guy from New York. As you know, the dictionary is always correct so there's no point in arguing with the students. We all might as well just accept "bwee-pay" as the right way to say the word. Rolling Eyes At least the prime dictionary gets that one right.

what are you talking about? There is nothing wrong with the pronunciation of buffet on the ybm dictionary. Nor does he sound like a "rich new yorker".

i think the iphone 4 should throw the wife off the bridge!

if she didnt research the product before buying then she is a fool. there aint no perfect phone. each has its good n bad features and share of user problems. in the end people need to not get caught up in marketing hype and really think about what is best suited to their needs n user experience.

You're right. My bad.

"I was buffeted by punches."

"I went to a buffet yesterday."

First is rare, and second is uncommon. Maybe that was my only point? Seems like both the YBM one and the Prime one made the entries the same way.

there are 2 entries.
the second one is for the place you eat, it sounds perfectly normally

They're both perfectly fine, grammatically and otherwise. However, how often do you use the first example? Less than the second, right?

It doesn't show up on my phone's market app. I'd love to download it from the site directly, but don't have an id or password. Hmm...

In defense of you Applemongers though, the iTunes software and the apps downloaded from there seem to work well. The software is tight, spot on, and well done. Andy can be laggy at times, and a bit glitchy. There, ya'll happy now? Razz
OP.

My wife and I both have the iPhone 4 - our first apple phone.

So far, I'm the one dealing with iTunes. It's a pain, and not always intuitive. If the OP's girl messed up with it, I can understand. That being said though, if you're swift enough to jailbreak it, you should be swift enough to handle iTunes.

As to the battery - never had a problem yet. Although most of my gaming and video viewing are done on my iPad.

I find that my android phone freezes up more often than my iphone did. I do like the fact that I can remove the battery, though. I also love that it's open source. I never jailbroke my iphone because I didn't want to void the warranty.

I'm a fairly large Applemonger but I gotta say that iTunes is horrible. The interface is pretty good but it's just horrendously slow (even on my 2010 MacBook Pro).
