Any ideas.
I'm gonna check out ABC mart this weekend.
Those LLBean 'duck boots' online really give us Americans away over here and the soles have always seem to slip on ice for me.

Danner boots are probably the best in the world. However, they are probably too expensive for liberal spendthrift teachers.

OP, your LL Bean boots are great. No worries as Koreans won't terrorize you for being an American, they'll envy you for your awesomely warm boots. I got on Under Armor thick wool socks from Bass Pro and my feet are still freezing off today. It's pretty cool inside and out. These frozen American feet of mine burned when I took a warm shower tonight.
Heavy wool electric socks if you can find them. Wearing sandals or slippers as indoor shoes at work might lead to frost bitten feet so a set of huge big bear claw shoes like the students wear might be a good buy.  |

I'm going boot shopping this weekend. Are these available here? I'd rather get quality that will last.
EDIT: Scratch that. They don't have what I need in my size. I've got very small feet. 5.5-6 (usa size) women's. |

| You can get "hiking" books at emart for around 40k. The brand is "big ten". At my local emart it's set away from the rest of the hiking boots. Over in the general sporting area. when I was younger in Canada I used to wear hiking boots all winter. They have a decent tread, generally pretty warm. |

They're on Gmarket with the expected price markup. I got mine on Ebay from a seller who ships to Korea. Highly recommended - very grippy on icy sidewalks, and my feet were toasty warm this morning. |

They are very selective on who they sell to anyway. I can definitely tell you that vegetarians are out.  |

How about mostly-vegetarian-sometimes-pescatarians who go (or used to go when grandpa was able) hunting with their grandpa? 
I'm not anti animal death. I just don't like meat. |
