Thinking of putting some money down on a departing teacher's set of wheels. My question is, how do you go about getting car insurance here?
I already have an International License so, I don't think that's a problem. |

When you go the motor vehicles office to transfer the title and pay road tax, there's a bunch of insurance ajummas hanging out in front of the lines-- one will usually help you with the paperwork, and the rest is history... |

EduCar had the best rates that I have found.
Unless youre fluent in korean, youll need someone to make the call for you. Tell them your details, the details on the car, transfer some money to their account and they send you your insurance card.

Another thing. IF you can get your driving history from your past car ins. you can save alot of money too. It show the Korean ins. company that you are not a new driver. I saved few hundred on this. |
