After getting sick recently, I relish the choice of cleaning my classroom. I wipe everything down everday. I clean as much or as little as I want. I clean a lot. The place is filthy even after one day.

I have my own classroom.

I spend about 20 minutes after the last class tidying up and then I give the room a quick sweep with the broom. Thats no big deal. In fact thats the way I worked back home too.

At my school we have a janitor that empties the garbage and mops the floors every night.

I think this is a normal arrangement.

Keeping your room tidy and clean is the least you can do in my books.

I think what's funny about this, is that I've adopted the old habit of putting the chairs upside down on the desks. We did this back in my schools in America so the janitors could clean easier... now I do it so I can clean easier. But the looks the Koreans give me when they see me do this are priceless.
