It's cold out now, so I don't want to be taking off my gloves too often. Is there any (preferably free/cheap) stylus or device to control my Galaxy S? |

The Galaxy S has a capacitive touch screen, which means it needs an electric charge, normally provided by skin contact with the human body. Touching a piece of plastic to the screen will do nothing, just like touching your fingernail to it will also do nothing.
The only way to use a stylus, then, is to somehow get it to produce a charge at the tip. Some use a metal stylus, while others accomplish this by wrapping a normal stylus in a conductive material like tinfoil; but both of these still require some contact with your skin to carry the charge to the screen.
Maybe you could try either of the above with a small hole cut in your glove? That's the best I can come up with. |

Oh wow, I must be behind the times. I didn't realize there were styluses with in-body charges. Google needs to tell me when and how this came about... |

That's what I'm talking about. A makeshift stylus that doubles as an emergency snack. |
