Oh, by the way, here are the numbers of people to my home page last week:

March25 - 75
March26 - 83
March27 - 12445 (!)
March28 - 1078
March29 - 133
March30 - 182
March31 - 131

I was sick on the 27th so when I came to use the computer the next day it was utter chaos - my guest book had been filled with 50 pages of various greetings, most of which I felt compelled to respond to out of courtesy. She never would've found me if I hadn't been selected to be on the front page that day. Surprised

'customers'.

?? So when did embassy's have customers?? An embassy is not an establishment you go to to gain information. Particulary a small one. Some like the French and Australian embassies have and education department, but you cant expect that kind of service from any embassy really.
There is also a fair chance she doesnt know what the Finns here are doing in Korea.
I find it amazing that you would consider going to an embassy to ask such dumb questions.

Quote:
A foreign embassy is the official diplomatic office of one country in the capital of another country. It is the official office of the ambassador of the home country, serves as the primary channel of communication between the two governments, negotiaties treaties between the home country and the host country, and promotes economic and cultural exchange between home country and host country.

That's why...and the quotes around the word 'customer' indicate a suspension of disbelief, or lack of a better word.

It also begs the question as to why an embassy would hire a person who doesn't know a thing about the said country. What is the point?

What was her job exactly?? Im guessing a secretary.
And not all embassy's can justify spending money on cultural exchanges in every country. For them the economic exchange is much more valuable.

That's true (that I expected too much from a small embassy). There was an economic development office right next to it; I might have had more fun going in there.
