I am looking at working at two public schools to get the 150,000 won additional pay. I want to know if there is a greater workload compared to just working at one public school. Any opinions about public schools are welcomed.
Thanks |

How many hours are you going to teach? How far are the schools from your apartment? What grades are you teaching?
For example, if you are going to teach 11 5/6 grade hours at one school and 11 5/6 grade hours at the other and they are both equally far from your apartment then yes it is a great deal.
However if you are going to have to commute a long way for one of them then maybe not.
If you are going to have to teach a lot of extra hours, that is a judgement call because it will mean more work, but also more overtime. Is this an after school program or a GEPIK/EPIK job? You might be able to get a lot of extra overtime pay.
If you have to teach 5 and 6 at one school, but then 3 and 4 at the other, that means twice as much planning. |

I did so and I thank God for that.
Anyway, you work the same number of hours in a week. It's just split among two schools. I worked at one school 3 days/week and 2 days/week at the other.
The second school was such a joy to teach at. Loved every minute of it. First one is what kept me from renewing. |

| If you are rural, do it. I taught the same lessons as I was teaching the same grades and the second school was brilliant compared to the first. Go for it if they are the same level schools. |

Did they change the contract?
I thought 2 school was 100,000 and 3 was 150,000?
It's not bad at all if the schools use the same text books. I make my lessons based on the key points in there text. I have 3 schools and 6 different text books. But my school as small and I commute pretty far. But my schools are cool and I leave early most days. |
