Hey does anyone have any info on where to find events going on in Seoul for New Year's Eve? Clubs or I've also heard of massive hotels which hosts parties in their banwuet halls, food/drinks etc.

Any help would be great, thanks!

Felix Da Housecat at the Walker Hill. Probably the biggest party in the city. Check out www.partyluv.com for info on other gigs around the city.

I'd also like some advice on this. My girlfriend and I are coming up to Seoul for New Years eve. She isn't much of a drinker so can anyone recommend a bit of a quieter new year gathering? We wont be staying out much past midnight but would still be good to get involved in something.

It's pretty fun to go to Jonggak station and do the countdown, watch the fireworks and festivities. It's kind of like a mini Korean version of the Times Square countdown.

But boy, was it cold last year, BRRRR. I wore gloves, a hat, and two coats.

Thank you, sounds good. Is ticketed?

Anyone else have any suggestions?

For someone whose g'f is not much of a drinker and would like a more quiet new year gathering, there is the coolest, HIP Hookah bar in Gangnam, where you can sit quietly with the other "cool Koreans" and sip slowly from a small bucket and suck on a pleasant Hookah.

Totally cool place - really worth a visit.

By Subway 지하철.

Get off at Gangnam St. (Green-Line), go out through Exit no 6. Walk straight ahead about 250m, turn left at GIORDANO clothing store. Walk straight ahead up to the 2nd crossroad, turn right at DUNKIN DONUTS. You will see RAINBOW about 20m ahead on the right.
