one time I inexplicably woke up early and remained confused about the time, running an hour ahead.

So I came into school, and went to PG around 7:30 am, instead of an hour later as usual.

So it's going to be 7:30am certainly. I'd say very high odds open by 7am.

Outside chance of a 6 am opening.

A month or so ago I fell asleep then woke up to my phone ringing. I was completely out of it, but answered it anyway, and it was a co-teacher asking what I was doing. I looked at the clock and saw that it was "8" so I said, "Oh! I'm just about to leave for work, bye!"

A few minutes later my head cleared, and I realized it was 8 pm, not 8 AM.

Anyway, thanks for the info! Should be open early enough for me tomorrow then, I'll stop by on my way to work.

if you ever get a call from school or anyone from school outside of work hours, keep in mind the old adage:

no news is good news.

Even Korean teachers that are friendly with you will freely admit this and laugh about it privately. They all subscribe to this adage.

Hijacking, sorry.

How does the Paris Baguette Point card work? Is it worth the trouble getting one? I buy snacks there once a week.

It is odd that a bakery wouldn't be open by 5 or 6 am. But I don't think they open much before 7. Also, the selection is very different at different times a day. Sometimes it is almost nothing, sometimes there are too many options. I go to PB almost everyday and I still haven't figured out a pattern. Don't try their egg mcmuffin knock off. It isn't made to order.

It also depends on the people working there. I used to date a girl that opened the Dunkin Donuts near my place (ah, those were the days... Free breakfast...). Anyway, the place technically opened at 7 am, but frequently, the doors wouldn't be open til 7:10-7:15 and yeah, the shelves would be VERY bare.

There are 3 PB's near my place. They all open at 7 am, BUT the closest one is pretty lazy, while the one a little bit down the road is very sharp with the time. They also happen to be the busiest one, so I'd say it really depends on what you mean by "open" and where the place is.

Opening times for bakeries, coffee shops and convenience stores seem very flexible, often depending on the whims and disposition of the staff.
