Anyone know if there will be a christmas light display near city hall or anywhere in Seoul this year and when they begin???
They had one last year which was pretty impressive.
Hoping to catch one before i go home for christmas on Dec 8th.

I'm sure they will have lights up around city hall and Cheungyecheon again. They always have big lights displays at Lotte Hotel, too (not the Lotte World location, the downtown one). How soon? Pretty soon, I think. My Emart already has lights up. |

Lotte has theirs up but they're the same ones as last year. Cheapskates. Shinsegae has new ones though. |

So the Festival of Lights walk is canceled this year?
Are the lights up along Cheonggye Plaza and the 5 bridges between Mojeongyo and Samilgyo? |

I was there last weekend. They had a big tree and a few lights, but only down to the first pedestrian bridge. It was quite blah and nothing like on the picture in the above link.
If you are already in the area, you might as well go and see it, but don't go there just for that. The lights around the Lotte and Shinsegae Department stores near Myeongdong were much more impressive. |
