I'm leaving the country for X-mas break and so is another foreign teacher. The Hagwon is not doing well with paying their foreign teachers. Can they cancel our work visa while we are out of the country?

If they do cancel it, can we re-enter the country as a tourist?

It's very unlikely this will happen. I would talk to the hagwon and try to get an honest response from them.

If things are that bad make sure you are the only one with keys to your apartment while you are away during vacation.

I remember reading on here a few years ago that a hagwon cancelled a teacher's visa while they were vacationing in Thailand.

I'm not sure if that was true though.
