Most non-mammalian animals creep me out. They, in turn, can sense that I'm not comfortable with them, so are on edge.

I'm okay with small newts, parakeets, frogs, and (to an extent) small turtles, though. I've had all of those as pets.

Mammals rule, though. Gotta love that common ancestry.

Are you saying we don't have a common ancestor with Newts, but we do with dogs?

Are you saying Frogs and newts can 'sense' discomfort in you, but we can't sense it in them? or that your movements make it obvious that you're uncomfortable, and they can distinguish between that, and relaxed movement?

We have a less common ancestor with non mammals.

Pretty much most animals sure as hell can sense when something is acting like prey (jumpy, hesitant, etc) Many people can tell when an animal's body language is showing fear or not. It goes both ways. Either way, most non mammals creep me out.

Frogs and newts don't frighten me because I used to play with them when I was younger. Most birds and reptiles do creep me out, though. It's the beak, probably.

Just another amazing attribute of NYC_Gal (2.0). Laughing

Is there anything she's not good at?

I can't do a cartwheel, I misplace things very easily, I'm a lightweight when it comes to booze, and I've been known to have a very short fuse (though I'm working on the last bit).

Why are you just asking questions?

Okay, new topic:
I love smart phones. Android phones are better than iphones, and I'm usually an apple fangirl.

And I have the newest Android from Verizon. Plus a special bonus I can't talk about because it's job-sensitive.

@nukeday: A minute or so. I used to be able to hold it for longer when I played the clarinet, but that was a couple of decades ago.

@chellovek: how about you give me a backrub instead of those pats?

@Died by Bear: Oooh do tell. We'll keep a secret.

Pfft, almost 4 minutes underwater here. Over 4 (one second) when lying flat on my bed with no distractions.

Impressive. And you like the best page in the universe. I don't think I can argue with you. I agree with you too much. Let's tag team someone else.

Weird, mostly I'm just trolling. In a clever, subtle way so that nobody really realises. Or they realise, but it's too subtle to be bothered about.
