sure, we live here. yes the country has been good to us,
my home country has been good to me too.
many Americans didn't sign up for Iraq, Vietnam, Korea
why???? because It's not our war.
I don't see the reason in dying for someone else's BS.
easy for the presidents to pick up a phone and say send in 20.000 troops to take that hill.. BOOM BOOM BOOM..
"sir all the troops have been killed. what should we do'?
send in another 20.000...
"yes sir"
"sir the second lot of 20.000 men have been killed sir and we still havent advanced more than 100 meters"! what do we do?
"emmmm let me think about this for a moment while I put my feet up by the fire and pour myself another Brandy and light my cigar...
what to do in this war?
RUN! protect your family..
your children are no good to you dead.
get on a boat and go back to USA ..
I don't see the point in fighting a war I don't believe in |

| Remember Desert Storm? The awsome massive Iraqi army 4th largest in the world was going to defeat the USA. Give me a break. USA forces are vastly superior than Desert Storm now. Just flee the shelling in Seoul and the larger cities until they subdue the north. I would be worried about the agents that might arrive on the shores though. They would be pretty murderous towards foriegners I am sure. |

| You are welcome to come to shanghai. I have already told my hot ex co teacher she is welcome to come before war breaks out and if war starts I can tell people I have a korean war refugee in my house. Housing a korean war refugee sounds cool and when she is beautiful thats the stuff that makes news. |

Does North Korea consist of three distinct cultural groups? Do North Koreans believe in strapping bombs on so they can get a bunch of virgins?
Would China fund North Korean terrorism against the U.S.?

| I would break into a very nice department store and survive off scotch, cheese, and fancy foods until I was captured by the North. When I'm eventually freed I will write a book and become a regular guest on Oprah. |

Here's an interesting article about mass evacuation in South Korea.
http://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2010/12/preparing-for-mass-evacuation-from-korea/68276/#disqus_thread

- If tensions continue to escalate, hundreds of thousands of foreign civilians living in South Korea will flee, sparking one the biggest mass-evacuations since the British and French pulled 338,000 troops out of Dunkirk in 1940.
- In July 2006, as a battle brewed between Israel and Lebanon-based Hezbollah militants, the U.S. took nearly a month to evacuate 15,000 Americans.
- According to one account, 140,000 U.S. government noncombatants and American citizens would look to the U.S. government for a way out.
- In the absolute worst case, tens of millions of South Koreans and hundreds of thousands of foreigners, some wounded, some suffering from chemical, biological or even radiological hazards, will flee in the only direction available to them: south. The country's transportation system would be in nationwide gridlock as panicked civilians avail themselves of any accessible means of travel. In this desperation and chaos, the U.S. military has the unenviable mission of supporting and evacuating U.S. citizens, all while waging a fierce battle along the DMZ. |

| That absolute worst case scenario is a absolute impossibility. North Korea probably has enough SAMs in their own territory to pull off a Sadat in 1973 kind of thing where they could prevent the US from demolishing them from above along the DMZ and maybe 40 miles south. As Sadat knew beforehand, however, that strategy only works in a limited war where you're not trying to advance particularly far and have very specific goals in mind. As soon as the North advances beyond the range of it's DMZ based SAMs they get ripped to shreds. Immediately. There's no way a northern advance makes it out of Gyeonggi. |

| Do you think it is impossible that a million civilians (both Korean and foreign) would try to flee Seoul in the event that it is shelled by the North? |

And what were the casualty rates of that war? (2006 Lebanon-Israel)
Or hows this? The US and SK army assume the offensive and take the war into North Korea, creating mass refugee panic on their side of the DMZ.
The best defense of Seoul (beyond having 400,000 Chinese immigrants and a bunch of Chinese businesses) is to take the offensive into North Korea.
Biological, Radiological, and Chemical? Pfft Only if KJI wants to deal with a million Chinese soldiers crossing the Yalu to throw him out.
Do the sensible thing...Follow directions to the evacuation/refugee point and don't do anything stupid.
Don't steal a car.
Don't hit someone over the head with a brick and steal their bike.
