Being about six inches taller than the average Korean woman, finding tights that don't dangle halfway down my thighs is a real challenge. Have any other tights-wearers found a good shop to find tall stockings?

Bonus points for warm ones this time of year, but I'll take what I can get.

If you can track down a western clothing branch like Zara then you might be able to get some that are designed for your body shape. I got some massive shoes there in Myeongdong last year, so if you can find a similar shopping zone in Daegu then you might be lucky. Asos.com do worldwide delivery as well, and their tights have lasted forever on me because they're good quality and just about worth the money...

I've found the ones at uniqlo to be ok (but I'm a bit shorter than you, I'm guessing). Feetless tights can be your friend.
Another thing to try is, if you can find a garter belt at one of the ubiquitous lingerie shops, just cut the legs off your tights and wear them as stockings (this is actually really comfy and gets bonus points for sexiness). In this weather you'll need to wear a very warm skirt though!

i'm about 5'10" and i've had no problems buying tights and leggings (with feet) off the street vendors in myeong-dong and itaewon. sometimes i'll have to give a few big stretches to them, but no problems afterwards. i've also found nice jean leggings (minus the feet) in forever 21.
