Hi everyone- I'll be starting with EPIK this March and I just found out I'll be teaching in Gochang in Jeollabuk-do. Is there anyone else in this area who can tell me what it's like/ suggest any links that could be useful? I know it's a rural area, but that's pretty much it.
Thanks for the help! |

Gochang (pronounced gor chung) is great. I and a few others worked there and loved it.
See the guy who owns the Moiyung fortess Kumdo- gym. He'll train and grade you in both Kumdo(kendo) and uido(judo) black belts in one year.
Food is awesome, kids really nice, countryside better than most travel brochures. |

That's great to hear- I'm really excited about it I have a feeling the countryside will be better for me than a big city. |

I just moved down there myself. Will have to check out the Judo/Kumdo place.
Anyone else commuting to Gwangju and interested in carpooling by chance? |
