Not my special formula! Thats what passports are now & the system seems to work pretty well for many millions of international travelers & expats every year. Aint broke dont fix it. The passport certifies that you have proven those basic details to your own government, which also had no reasons to deny your application.

Meanwhile, countries we want to enter might reasonably have additional requirements, which we either provide or forgo visiting. The option is ours.

But no way we should have to hand over our life story to every random airport immi agent for scrutiny. Thats just asking for unnecessary intrusion.
