Since the topic has come up again...

What payment options have you guys been able to set up with Steam? I wanted to use a U.S. credit card, but the site refuses to take it.

I'm guessing the reason is that my CC mailing address isn't my current address (and the site refused to progress when I tried to lie).

The checks are IP related, go grab proXPN and use your card. I'd also call your credit card company and inform them you're overseas. Happy Holiday shopping.

I just had to re-up my card/address info to buy BC2 for $10!

I used my US card, my US address, but put Korea as my country and checked the box that said "currently living there". That was all. No problems.

Is Torchlight any fun? Haven't played any hack'n'slash in a while, but I don't want anything too brain dead, just semi-brain dead. In other words I'm fine with clicking my mouse button 100.000 times as long as I'm killing different enemies and using a few different skills, but not fine with hitting it 100.000 times if I'm hitting the same enemies with different colours and using the same skills with different damage bonus. As an example, I liked Diablo, but not Dungeon Siege 1, and most MMORPGs are too repetitive.

this review sold it me..seems like a good solid stop gap until diablo 3 but thats about a year away. only downside i think is the lack of co-op play which would have really made this game

at 5 bucks u can't go wrong really!

I had the same problem. Just email them, tell they're your abroad and they're take the lock off your account. Then go through the payment like normal, it'll check out

Yeah, send them an email about "unlocking your account." They'll fix it right up.

You can also use the url store.steampowered.com/?cc=us to use a U.S. credit card and you might not even need them to "unlock" anything.

I thought Deathspank was more fun than Torchlight, but that's just me.
