|
|
Does anyone know the station where inter-city trains stop/finish in Seoul?
Do intercity trains stop at Seoul Sation (metro station #133 on line #4)?
I'll be arriving by inter-city train from down south (not KTX).
Once in Seoul, I have to get to the Thai embassy - near Itaewon Station (metro line #6).
Any help appreciated? Thanks. |

It depends on the line. The Gyeonbu (Busan/Daegu), Honam (Mokpo/Gwangju), and Gyeongui (Dorasan/Kaesong DPRK) lines terminate at Seoul Station, while the Jeolla (Yeosu), Janghang (west coast, down to Daejeon), and part of the Honam lines finish at Yongsan.
Doesn't matter though, line 6 at Samgakji station is two stops south of Seoul Station and one stop north of Sinyongsan, so where ever you end up, you're only a few stops away.
IF you end up at Yongsan, just exit the station out the front. Go down the stairs, cross the street, walk to the big street and get in the subway there at Sinyongsan. It's line 4, and will take you to Itaewon, no problem. The route map makes it look like its far away, but in fact it's right outside Yongsan. |

Thanks a lot for the info. I really appreciate it. It's been a few years since I lived in Seoul - and it all looks very foreign on the map these days.
Good luck. |
