There's a new fine foods shop in Itaewon called High Market Deli (I think that's it, anyway) and it's on the 2nd floor across from the Cheil building between Itaewon and Hangangin stations, line six.

It's like a small Whole Foods: great selection of deli meats and steaks, imported cheeses, fantastic bread, lots of wine (I'm not a wine person, but it looked impressive), and lots of other imported goodies, like truffle oil, Swiss chocolate, etc. Prices were high, but reasonable for what they sell.

Yeah, these directions aren't really helpful.

To get there: go straight out of Itaewon Exit 2. Keep going for about five minutes. You'll go over the top of the hill, past Rocky Mountain Tavern, Praha, etc. It will be right in front of you.

I thought the prices on the meat were really reasonable, but the cheese selection was a bit disappointing, with pretty much the same selection and prices as my local EMart.

They've got wine, but again, the selection doesn't really beat that of a larger EMart or Lotte Mart.

Nonetheless, definitely worth checking out, particularly for the wide range of cuts of meat.

I've been there. It's great! Lots of great meats, baked goods, cheese, wine, many options of foods from home. Definitely worth the walk up the hill! Smile

It's next to Boutique Hotel.

Also: I went today and they're running a deal where if you buy their chilled steak (any kind, it comes in two packs) you get a free frozen ribeye.
