I am thinking about working at Ansan Hwajeong English Village in Ansan. Has anyone heard anything about this school? Is it a good school to work for? I have worked for a couple of bad schools in Koreaq and I would really appreciate any information. Thank you

I have a Korean friend who lives in Ansan. I was wondering about that village, but she said that she heard it isn't very good. Maybe this is just hearsay, as I haven't been there.

isn't there like at least one post a month asking about the English Village in Ansan? (I assume there is only one?).

That can't be a good sign.

Indeed, it's a common question. You can find the threads on http://searchESLCafe.com

Here's the specific link for Ansan English Village:

Thank you, I thought the interview was too good to be true. Just the way he was making the job seem so easy and with so much free time. Then I looked at the contract and it was completely the opposite. Thank you for the information. I'm so done with working for a bad school if I can help it!

Don't believe the hype. I'm an american working at AHEV and it is the easiest job i've had. I previously worked at a kindergarten in Apgujeong and I had seven different classes of seven different levels. I had no off periods.

Here at ahev I teach 3-4 classes a day and twice a week I teach an adult class for an hour. This is honestly the easiest schedule I've ever taught.
Also, we write lesson plans for the spring and then teach them all year. We don't have to write new lessons for every class or anything like that. the hours are 8:30-5:30 but you only have classes for 5 hours max.

Seriously easy job.

Also, there is a difference between "Ansan English Village" and "Ansan Hwajeong English Village". My wife told me when I applied that she thought that the english village shut down, but it was the other one. AHEV is run by the city so you don't have to deal with hagwon mom's breathing down your neck. Kids come for two days and they are gone. Next day, new kids.
