Soon enough..some folks will be submitting fake RCMP/FBI/Interpol/Scotland Yard criminal records check and Apostille degrees.
Someone is going to get their hands on the "raised seal stamp" and other items needed and/or make their own.
Printing fake money is being done so printing these types of documents will be a piece of cake!
It's going to happen....watch and see.....

Very true.

I've heard that Al-Qaeda will be targeting Beer Huts and Family Marts throughout Seoul.

Confused

If someone wants to go through that much trouble and risk jail time just to work in Korea... then maybe they deserve to work there. Hahaha.

I think that the number of folks trying to illegally get into ESL in Korea is grossly exaggerated by the Korean government. The number of people sneaking in on fake docs would be greatly overshadowed by the people here with legitimate docs but really are bad seeds despite the clean criminal records.

They will be demanding a White House seal on your CRC from January 2011. Queens signature for Canadians.

I really can't see why someone would go to the bother of it all. There are so many other countries that don't require all this paperwork. Heck, even in Korea, you can find an ELT job as a tourist. The average hogwon owner hardly cares about the teacher's educational background. The only reason that most care at all is because it's a legal requirement for getting the teacher an E2 visa.

This is all highly doubtful, China is where people without degrees (or with fake ones) and criminal records go these days to teach.

All the FBI checks look the same but there are 50 states where a degree an be apostilled in. I don't know but I have serious doubts some bureucrat checks or knows what these state apostilles are supposed to look like. There are a ton of ways to fake stuff.

There are all kinds of transcripts. Go to a print shop get an envelope with state u on it and seal your own transcripts.

Obvsiously I wouldn't recommend it but I would think that its a pretty easy thing to do. Same with your resume. Do they check the former employers at all? They may but I have a suspicion and willing to bet they don't. You may not think its worth it but if you're not a college grad and facing a job market that is as stagnant as in the west it may well be worth it to some one.

The money paid to teachers in China.....are very very low wages. If China was paying the same as korea....korea would have difficulty in keeping and attracting teachers.
If one is lucky....8000 RMB a month equals around $1200.00 U.S. a month.
The average private language school pays around 6000 RMB a month.

I don't know anything about forgery and how easily it's done but it seems like the more likely outcome of these heightened rules would be a rise in fake or "paper" marriages, between korean women and ESL teachers. Really? Maybe but I am skeptical only because of how marriage is viewed here compared to the west. Lots of fake marriages in America. In LA you could find a lot of folks willing to get paid several thousand for a fake marriage.

While a future husband wouldn't hold it against a woman too much in the states can the same be said about Korea about a woman who had a paper marraige with a foreigner? How many korean women would do it for some guy she wasn't dating and in love with?

Maybe many would but just my own observation of the culture here I'd be surprised if many would go for it.

The Korean woman doesn't necessarily have to know the foreign man is marrying her just for the F-series visa...
