You might have better luck going to the lonelyplanet message board.

Who really cares if it's about Korea or not, this is the off topic section.

It was in the general discussion section before I asked the moderators to put it in its rightful place here.

I hope to secure an Indian tourist visa in Seoul using a travel agent without buying an air ticket from them. If you are doing employment such as training call center staff working for your Western country company, the employer would be setting that up? Never heard of teaching jobs in India. If Seoul embassy is only for Koreans, maybe try another embassy in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, or elsewhere? I 2nd that LP is better for travel related posts unless we are talking about teaching visas and airfares from Korea to go on vacation.

Thanks for that, I'm sure a lot of us weren't able to sleep at night with something posted in the wrong section. Now we can all rest easier.

Wow this thread is booming.

"Forum for general discussion on issues related to *living* in South Korea. No off-topic posts here either!"

I agree. It's completely ON topic. The OP is in Korea and wants information or advice on how to deal with the Indian Embassy - specifically the Indian Embassy in Korea. The embassy in the States obviously doesn't have the info he's looking for and it's more likely that he'll find someone on THIS forum that will have experienced the same situation that he's now experiencing.

Done with that.

Anyways, thanks all for the advice. I spoke with all of the Indian Embassies in the US and only San Francisco said I would be able to mail my documents, so I plan on doing that. Though, I would love to be able to do it in Korea without all the shipping and wait time.

@Kbit: Was this something that you've done?
