A little bit confused and wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. If I'm asking questions that have been asked a million times feel free to chew me out. My friends and I might head to China in February and are trying to figure out how we get a tourist visa to go there.
We would like to go to Beijing or Sanya (is there a difference for visas according to the area you're wanting to go to?)
We need to go through a travel agent right? I looked up the site of the agencies we can go through but it's in Korean...can anyone reccommend a place? We're in Ilsan.
Timing: We're hoping to head for Lunar New Year. It says it takes 4 business days. We should be able to book now and organize a visa in time right? What are the chances of being denied a visa? Is it alright to buy a non-refundable ticket while working out the visa?
Thanks for any help

Do you have six months left on your ARC? Because I'm pretty sure you can't get a Chinese visa unless you do. |

Why does China worry about the time left on your ARC? I mean, we're not Korean citizens or permanent residents, so why should they care? I've never understood the reasoning behind this policy. |

I'm pretty sure it's because the Shanghai-Seoul flight is/was one of the main ways for illegal/semi-legal teachers in China to get around visa requirements. |

How does this policy effect getting a visa once your ARC/visa for Korea has expired. Is there still an issue getting a VISA if you have the expired Korean visa in your passport?
Thanks. |
