to the previous poster about the cheaper, 'better' windows machine, I am not going to make this reponse about which is better, because straight hardware comparisons just don't do computers justice. Let's just say if you prefer windows, that's your prerogative. I am not selling a cheaply made, lack-of-quality-control plastic computer, and I will be the first to admit that 3,000,000 won Mac computers aren't for everyone. Somebody out there will recognize this ad for what it is, and make a fair offer. THAT I am sure of.

It's really not a bad price for the laptop. The thing about Apple notebooks is that they aren't treated as commodities (by the people who buy Apple notebooks) the way notebooks by other companies are. If you bought this notebook for 1.8 million won, you could probably sell it for slightly less than that 6 months or a year from now on Craigslist in the US. I'm not saying there is a good reason for this. I don't think that Apple notebooks should retain their value as well as they do, but they do. Apple marketing and design (and admittedly, the trackpads and unibody cases are nice) are so great that it just works this way.

Now, whether you should buy this or a cheaper yet more powerful "PC" (non-Apple) notebook, that depends on how you want to use it. If you want to write programs for OS X, iPhone, or iPad then you have no choice but to run OS X. I would buy it for sure, in that case. If you need to run OS X because of a particular program you need to run, you should buy it. If you just want to run Windows on it, then I wouldn't buy it. Quite frankly, Apple doesn't write very good drivers for Windows. I much prefer using my Dell Latitude in Windows than my Macbook Pro in Windows. Overall, I prefer my Macbook Pro, though.

The last thing I want to talk about is specs. These really aren't all that important for most people. Sure, newer laptops have faster processors and better graphics cards, but most of the time those will go unused. Those are primarily necessary for gaming, video transcoding and image manipulation programs. If you don't plan to do much of those activities, then this will be powerful enough for you.

Of course, one thing to point out is that Apple will probably be releasing a refresh of it's 15" and 17" Macbook Pros soon. Intel has started releasing its Sandy Bridge processors which are much better than the current i5/i7 processors. I would expect to see them in the Macbook Pros in the next few months. They may even show up in the 13" models, too, since the new integrated GPUs are approximately equal to the nVidia 320M that is currently living in the 13" Macbook Pros.

Anyway, that's just some food for thought. Good luck with your sale, OP! It's not a bad price at all for this laptop.
