@AsiaESLBound
Hey, nice post, did you travel in those regions yourself?
Yeah, there's something in the Japanese character which considers relaxation as sacred, and cultivates it into an art, whether it be at a traditional inn with hotspring, or simply a well-made bowl of tea taken on the terrace or veranda of a temple.
Hopefully I'll do some traveling there again soon. |

Nice find, legrande. It's that idiosyncratic spirit that makes Japan so cool and culturally rich. However, the song still transmits the same sentimental message that is so pervasive in Japan. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, which means it's actually a very traditional Japanese song. LOL, I just contradicted myself. |

Yeah, Lastrova, I can connect with what you said, you fleshed it out nicely.
People used to have this image of the Japanese as all being automatons, but they're actually a lot of characters over there, and generally very genial and kind...and the villians are real black and nasty, so really it's all a goupy soupy mess.
Though it does take a bit of time to crack the cultural code, once you step inside it is a genuinely fascinating society, too bad there are so many damn yakuza about.
But yeah, there is a real appealing trippy idiosyncratic side to the culture, so free and open, trusting of the spirit, I miss that. |
