Is this near the mosque? I found a place very close to the mosque once that was pretty good. |

| It's called Salam Bakery and it's across the street from International Restaurant. Great place. They even sell small and large gift boxes so you can introduce others to this kind of sweets. |

| There's more middle-eastern bakeries in that area. After you walk past Foreign Food Mart, go around the corner on the left, up the hill towards the mosque. You'll see them. |

I've had a major craving for Middle Eastern food lately, particularly hummous, felafel, and kofta/kebab. I've also missed baklava and that other sweet dessert with the cheese covered in honey, whose name escapes me right now. I might just go check out that bakery that was mentioned this weekend. Thanks for posting the link.
Are there any other good Middle Eastern restaurants in Itaewon or Seoul besides Petra? |

I checked out that bakery today. I have to say that I was really unimpressed
with the quality of the baklava. I have a feeling that it was made a few days
ago and they were trying to sell it off before they threw it out.
The filo dough wasn't crisp. In fact it was pretty soggy. The filling was pretty mealy. I have a feeling they used margarine instead of butter. Their was an artificial aftertaste.
We had maybe 3 pieces and threw the rest out.
Oh well. Search continues. |

Sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience. We've been there quite a few times and have purchased baklava, bread, hummus and yogurt. All of them have been great. We're always looking to add new stores and restaurants to our site so if you come across some place better please let us know.

On a similar note, we thought we'd try someplace new this weekend and had a kebab at Mr. Kebab's (right next to Dunkin Donuts). There was hardly any meat on the sandwich, which turned out to be a good thing because all the lamb was dry and flavorless. I would definitely steer clear of their Itaewon location. |

Good advice. There's one around that corner, towards Salam Bakery, called Egyptian Kebab. Tried them yet? I'm still a big fan of Sultan Kebab. I've never had a bad meal there.
BTW, where is a place to get some good hummous? |

I just noticed Egypt Kebab on my way to Salam. I'll have to give it a try next time. It looked like he may have had falafel as well. Have you ever seen it on the menu?
