What's this have to do with whether Americans are used to eating big portions?

she charges high because koreans believe the more expensive the better it is... westerners know this is not the case. it's whats on the plate that counts. not how much it costs. |
Yeah, right. . . westerners would never be as gullible as them Koreans.

It's not so much gullible. its more about a term they use called "LUXURY"!
average Korean restaurants don't over charge but a western meal is considered luxury eating. like driving a foreign car.
back home a foreign car means nothing.
here it's LUXURY
200grams of beef will cost you 15000won in a korean place.. but in an Italian Restaurant you will pay 40.000
why? ohhhhh steakeeerrrrrr
I always drunk the tap water back home. everyone I know did.
we only drunk Bottle water when we were thirsty out and about , so we drop into a 7-11 and buy a water..
I always thought bottle water was for yuppies thats all.

It means that you using the fact that we come from a country where competitive eating is a sport doesn't hold much water. The Japanese are still fairly healthy, and it's a big sport there. So what does competitive eating existing in the US have to do with anything? |

the short answer is unfortunately NO!
which is why I avoid non-Korean restaurants (especially around Itaewon)
like the plague |

Well, it seems I was wildly optimistic to expect you to be able to follow along with the thread. So have at whatever conversation you are having with yourself in your mind. |

And this has what to do with your observation that only Koreans are gullible enough to believe that more expensive = better? Are people drunk posting tonight? |

the best way to sum up foreign retaurants and food in korea would be:
ersatz
they fail to deliver in every way and I have yet to encounter one that
provided satisfaction... |

Hello All,
If any of you live in Bundang, maybe you have heard of Daily Kings Diner. It is pretty good and they serve a decent breakfast. Their menu is quite extensive and the cheeseburger is highly recommended. Here is the website.
