Shim Hyung Rae, the director of D-War has put out a new movie. he directs and stars in it.

The Last Godfather stars Harvey Kietel and Shim. It is a comedy.

Is this real?

[EDIT] Oh God! I just watched the trailer. Why do people fund this man's movies?

This movie made me feel that maybe the critics were just a little too hard on Transformers 2.

The only reason I saw it was because a korean friend wanted to see it badly. I didn't expect much and I wasn't disappointed...er...ah...in my expectations that is. I napped through some of it.

How long is it? I'm considering seeing it.

Ah I thought for a second we were talking about The Godfather part III. Now that's a movie that gets more crap than it deserves. Sofia Coppola's acting isn't THAT bad and it's a satisfying end to the story. Yeah, it didn't NEED to be made, but I still appreciate seeing a glimpse into the Corleone family once again. Plus, she dies at the end, so it's a little cathartic. It's still better than Indiana Jones 4.

Wait, what were we talking about again?

I wanted to post neutrally at first to gauge people's opinions.

I think it was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. A marginal improvement to D-War.

Of course Shim had to plug the supposed Korean wave by adding Wonder Girls into a 50's movie?

It was slapstick at its lowest level. Shim would speak somereally bad Konglish and then trip over a chair. All of the villains were like Wile E. Coyote and Shim was basically Inspector Gadget.

Harvey Keitel is a respectable, talented actor. Why would he sign up for this crap?

I have liked a few, to be totally fair.

Maybe the theme should be, don't ever watch any Shim Hyung Rae movies. Seriously, the guy sucks but he won't stop as long as he can stoke Koreans' pride and make money from them.

In a year or so, he'll come out with another one and Koreans will forget the abominations of this movie and D-War and support him again.
