I know that in the States, some breweries give tours of their factories to see how the precious liquid is made. Just wondering if anyone knows if Jinro or Doosan offer a tour of their facilities. I know that Jinro has a factory in Icheon. I also know that there is a place called Andong Soju Museum...but I want the real deal...the green bottle factory tour.

Heck...I'll even settle for a Hite/OB tour.

Go round the back of a soju tent and you will see the owner peeing into your next bottle.

Anong soju museum?

I went to a soju factory tour last year. San soju is located in Gangneung, Gangwon-do, where I live. I'm not sure how often how often the tours are available (since my boss arranged it), but I think they'll be a lot of tours in the summer. In June, Gangneung is host to the Danoe Festival, and the International Folklore Festival. If you happen to be out here for the summer, you can ask the local information booths about the tours. When I went, it was a pretty good experience. There were 30-40 people on the tour, we saw the bottling facilities, drank lots of soju with free anjou, then we were taken out for lunch and given gift packages of seaweed! And it was all FREE! I was SO drunk by the time I got home at 12:30 in the afternoon. Shocked
