|
|
I'm in need of a haircut, and I am seeking out any recommendations people may have for a barber/hairdresser for men that speaks English or will understand English some, in the Busan area. Any help would be much appreciated. There's a Blue Club by me, but I'm not really sure I want to run the risk just yet of getting my haircut by someone who I can't really describe what I want to since my Korean is vastly limited. |

Have a look here: http://koreabridge.net/listings?tid=247&tid_1=All
There used to be guy in Daeyeon who trained in London, but I think his shop has closed or relocated.
Alternatively, go to a nice hairdressers in Nampodong, with a picture of the hair you want. That's what I did last time, and I was happy with the result. |

Go to any barber shop with two poles. The double poles mean they have bilingual service. |

i go to blue club barber. they're a chain of barbor shops - lots in busan. i take in a photo of my hair - front shot, side shot and shot from the back. so i dont say anything except - cut hair short. 6,000 won for a haircut. and they give you a discount card. |

Jesus wept...
They're barbers, they're trained professionals, they know what they're doing. Walk in, point at head, point at picture, smile! They will have seen foreigners before, this isn't the surface of Mars.
You must be used to the whole pointing and body language thing by now? You have limited Korea, I have limited Korean, it's all good. |

I drew a picture for a lady to cut my hair. Prior to going into the shop, I had looked up words like "haircut" "short" "long" etc. in korean, so I could refer her to these.
I got pretty much what I wanted. wasn't the best. but it was really really cheap.
it's an adventure. go for it |
