Rasta is right, Captain Obvious. Don't start something you dont intend to back up.

Let's just back that hypocrite bus back up a bit and review what was said.

Rasta made a number of baseless claims that basically can be summed up with (in order):

1. Every Wonderland is evil.
2. Anyone who says differently is lying.
3. Every Wonderland will underdeal on the pay.
4. Revisionist history.

Sure, I could have gone to great detail to link to stories or places that talk about how people have worked at Wonderland without a problem, or I could bring people into the forum who now have or had prior worked at Wonderland to counter this.

But why? Everyone knows Rasta was just making things up as he went along. His post was as factually correct as me saying evey American carries a concealed handgun and will shoot you if you look at them funny, or that every Canadian lives in an igloo and eats whale meat. Sure, I could link to sites to counter his claims, but why? Everyone already knows it's a big lie, and people have posted on this site before talking about how they had no abnormal issues with Wonderland.

Thus all that was required was an "incorrect". We all already know the correct answer.

He doesn't like Wonderland for whatever his reason, so be it. That doesn't mean he has a blank cheque to libel the company.

So instead of saying that I need to back up my claims that Rasta is incorrect, perhaps you should be telling Rasta to back up his claims that every Wonderland is evil. Here's a hint, he can't. And that is without considering the claims from people who have posted on this site before claiming Wonderland gave them no major problems which very much directly contest Rasta's entire theme to his posting.

I was going to post a lengthy response to CO but I saw this post and it got me to thinking. You are right!!! these threads have become pissing contests and henceforth I am going to stop pissing.

May I suggest everybody else do the same. Maybe the pissing contests will end and we can get back to some serious discussion.

Captain Obvious,

Wonderland, and all other schools, have rightfully earned their reputations, good or bad.

Personally, I don't feel sorry for Korean entrepreneurs who have purchased a Wonderland franchise and have their own school smeared with broad anti-Wonderland rhetoric, even if that one particular school is great. The reason? They bought into the entire concept of Wonderland, and that is exactly what they've got.

If they didn't want to be smeared with the company brush, then they should have opened a private academy, rather than buying a franchise of a chain with a tainted image.

For excellent information from a real lawyer, go to EFL-law.com. A great site that soon will be the bane of miserable cheating institutes and bad elements within poes. This poeboy knows. He defeaed a poe chap who was stingy with good legal insights!

One phrase: DON'T GO TO WONDERLAND!!!!!!!!!! The horror stories are incredible. There is even a website called "Prisoner of Wonderland" that describes 2 girls horrific experience at one in Taegu. There has even been talk of organizing a boycott of Wonderland

Somebody may counter with "they are a franchise operation so each school may be different" thats a load of bull. The horror stories are from all over Korea.

If you take it be ready for lonng, looonnnnngggg hours, coming in on Saturdays for no pay, getting shafted on OT, being forced to serve lunch to the munchkins you name it.

There is another phrase we long timers use: "Friends don't let friends work for Wonderland"

i also have 3 friends that work for wonderland and they HATE it!!
they love their kids but they have a psycho boss and they have enforced overtime and heaps of other nasty things
but that is only at one branch..i cant speak for other branches of wonderland

Golden rule: If you have any concerns about going to work somewhere, insist on talking to current teachers at the school. Get their phone numbers/email addresses and talk to them asap.

There are so many other jobs out there that I don't know why anyone in their right mind would even consider working for a chain that has such a horrible reputation. It's not even worth calling current teachers, etc.

I think the only people who end up at a Wonderland are those who fail to do any research whatsoever. Even a basic search on the school's name would tell you that it isn't a good place to go.

Golden rule: If the thread is, like, 3 years old, they've probably made their decision already =)
